How soon will my order arrive?

As the premier coffee roasters, we will provide you with the freshest coffee from our roastery at the Royal Nepal Coffee. After you place an order with us, we will ship it out to you usually within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. For wholesale orders, please contact us directly via phone 

Can I cancel or delay my order?

Yes, you can cancel or delay your order as long as it hasn't shipped. Please contact us instantly via phone or email.  

Do You Deliver Overseas?

Yes, we do deliver oversea, For the charges of transportation, customs and taxation policies, please contact us via phone, messages or email.
 

I have not received my order, what should I do?

You will receive a tracking number from our courier within 1–2 days after you place your order. We usually deliver all our orders within 10-12 days, but if you still have not received your order, then send us a support request and we will assure you that our team is working relentlessly to deliver your order as soon as possible.

Where is coffee grown in the Nepal ?

Nepal has 7 provinces and 77 districts, and 40 of those districts currently grow coffee. the largest coffee producing areas are in the central regions of Nepal. 

What does shade grown mean ?

By growing coffee plant under a sun filtering canopy improves the quality of the coffee for a number of reasons. the tree provides shelter for the coffee plant from the sun. This allows the beans to mature slower.   this allows them to become nutrient rich, denser, and harder than the coffee beans that are not shade grown. This means that the final coffee product will be much more nutrient rich and have a much better flavor. The trees that the shades the coffee plant offers other benefits than just protection from the sun.  the leaves that fall down becomes perfect compost and prevent from weeds growing and also slow down   water evaporating from the soil.  these tree canopies create safe haven for birds and wildlife and eliminate carbon from the atmosphere, these trees are mostly fruit nowadays to add extra income 

How are your green beans packed ?

Our bulk coffee greens are packed using GrainPro bags, which are then placed in jute bags to ensure freshness for our customer. they can be 20 kilo, or 50 kilo bags as per your requirement.

How should I store my coffee?

Coffee is best stored in an airtight container and in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid hot areas like near sunlight or cooking equipment's, once opened for use, be sure to keep your bags sealed and minimize direct exposure to light and air. We strongly advise against storing coffee in a refrigerator or freezer as it degrades the coffee's flavor and aroma 

What is green bean coffee?

Green beans are raw, unroasted coffee beans, green coffee beans are the raw seeds of coffee cherries that been separated or processed and have yet to be roasted. Most of the coffee's taste and flavor potential is held within the green seed. This potential is ultimately unleashed through roasting the green beans. They contain high level of a group of antioxidants, which are thought to provide numerous benefits 

What is Arabica Coffee?

Coffea Arabica also known as arabica coffee, is a species of flowering plant in the coffee family Rubiaceae. it is believed to be first species of coffee to have been cultivated and is currently the dominant cultivar and is currently the dominant cultivar, representing about 60% of the global production. Coffee produced from the (less acidic, more bitter and highly caffeinated) Robusta beans make most of the remaining coffee production. Arabica coffee originated from and was first cultivated in Yemen and documented by 12century.

Taste wise despite containing less caffeine than Robusta, Arabica beans are often superior in taste. Arabica tends to have a smoother, sweeter taste with flavor notes of chocolate and sugar. They often have hints of fruits or berries.

Smells depends upon the varietal; the range differs from sweet- soft to sharp-tangy. when unroasted Arabica beans smell like blueberries. Thier roasted smell is described as perfumery with notes of fruits and sugar tones  

What is so special about Arabica Coffee?

Arabica is superior in taste, with more flavor, tones of sweetness, and aromas compared to other beans. It has more defined qualities depending on its origin and growing season.

What altitude does coffee grow at in Nepal?

It is grown in the Himalayan Belt, just below the frost line, at an elevation of 1000–1600 meters above sea level. it has number of beneficial effects on the beans, when we grow coffee at a higher altitude it slows the development and ripening of the beans. this is because the temperature of the environment is cooler which causes the beans to develop more slowly. the slow growth of the beans allows them to absorb more nutrients and become more dense and harder than coffee that grow at lower elevations. This means that there are more antioxidants in the beans and that you will get more benefits out of the coffee you are drinking. Not only is the coffee more nutrient dense, it is also superior in taste. most expensive high-quality coffee is grown at the higher elevations to maximize their flavor 
 

Why does the price of Nepali coffee seem expensive?

Nepali coffee is grown under unique climatic conditions includes moist soil, humidity, and sunlight. It requires an excessive amount of rainfall at a temperature ranging around 20 °C. Our coffee is grown at an altitude of 1000–1600 meters by farmers in the lap of the Himalayas and is organic, chemical, and fertilizer free. we get less yield but quality, due to altitude and climate. the demand is 10 times higher than the supply Aswell. on top of that we pay fair price to the farmer, which is among the highest in the world, US $ 85 to US $ 1. 20 per kg for cherries. mostly everything is done by hand till the end, even the transportation is done by foot. 

What makes the coffee from the Himalayas different from the rest?

The coffee grown at the foothills of the Himalayas is 100% produced by farmers, which is of high quality with distinct flavors and aromas. It is grown under unique growing conditions and sustainably sourced coffee beans. This coffee has rustic flavor with a mild level of acidity. Nepal also lies outside the coffee belt which makes it more interesting.

What varieties of coffee are grown mostly in Nepal?

The major cultivated coffee variety in Nepal is Arabica, a mix of   Bourbon, typica, Catura, with organic and eco-friendly practices by farmers at the higher altitude of 1000 to 1600 meter.

What kind of soil is used to grow Nepalese coffee?

Fertile and well-draining, including sandy loam and damp soil.
 

What are seasons like in Nepal?
